Climbing rose die back each winter.? - sombreuil rose
My climbing rose Sombreuil you have at least 6-8 hours of sun per day, and the base of the plant lots of flowers. However, no flowers on the stems of climbing and it seems to die at about 1 foot of soil. These plants are in my area (5) planned. Fertilization Monthly try and see what happens. Thank you all!

Roses tend to go dormant during the winter ... Give it time ... I noticed that the roses sprouting MI begin to climb again.
